What is Ethereum?

Content:

Ethereum is the second-largest cryptocurrency after Bitcoin. But Ethereum is much more than just digital money — it is a platform that allows developers to build smart contracts and decentralized applications (DApps).

A smart contract is a self-executing agreement that runs automatically when certain conditions are met. This makes transactions transparent and eliminates the need for a third party.

Ethereum also has its own digital currency called Ether (ETH), which is used to pay for transactions and services on the Ethereum network.

Today, Ethereum is the foundation of DeFi (Decentralized Finance), NFTs, and many other innovations in the blockchain world.
